$3,000 give or take. Not sure what else they took from the contracts.
Car#2 2017 Rav 4 limited purchased in November 2017. Both cars were sold to us with extended warranties. Oct 2018 my wife trades in her Rav 4 for a 2018 Camry with extended warranty.
A few months later I start getting notices that my Corolla does not have an extended warranty. I called the warrantyy company and they said it was cancelled by the dealer due to trade in.
I called Lipton and tried to take care of this. At the time of the last trade in the Corolla was paid off. We had to bug them to get the title and eventually my wife picked it up and put it away but before going to this meeting about the extended warranty I notice the title they gave me was for the Rav 4 that was traded in.
At the meeting I told them they made a mistake and took the wrong warranty away and showed the chief load officer Lin Chen a copy of the title of the rav 4. His reply was they do not give out real titles anymore and it is all electronic.
That just pissed me off because in my clipboard was the real title and I just had to call him out. I told him I would sign the title in good faith in honoring my wifes contract and to get us the title to the Corolla and if he could add my name to the title like the Rav 4. He told me this should not be a problem. A few days latter we get a call that we can pick up the title which we did but not favors by them.
So we bring our cars to another dealer for service and I ask the service agent to check extended warranty on the Camery and he finds nothing. My wife and I spend hour upon hour with Toyota customer service and all the number that they tell us to call but at the end they said I need to deal with this problem through the dealer.
I talked to the dealership and got the CFO and presidents email and never got a reply. So bottom line is we own 2 cars that we paid for and on the contract for extended warranty and do not have them.

Car Review
LIPTON IRONY IS HUMOUROUS
First and foremost, I grew up in the car business. I started working for Toyota when I was 15 years old; in days of yore, when one could get super rich by selling cars. Thus I became Toyota's Finest in Sales. I went from a Super Star Salesman to Used Car Manager and up to General Sales Manager. I left Toyota a bit before the economy clashed in 2008. Wherefore I made good investments and became pretty wealthy in currency trading and by buying gold and silver.
Anyhow, I always pushed myself and owned exotic cars. My last car was imported from Great Britain and it was a Lotus GT Elise, Twin Turbo with a 6 cylinder engine. I owned the Lotus for 12 years and sold it for $62,000. Thus I stayed with no car and needed to buy one. I love exotics but I hate High In cars, so I decided to buy a popular car and Toyotas are the best popular cars money can buy.
Wherefore, my daughter married a rich lawyer and she gave me a 2011 Rav 4 Limited Edition. Car Max evaluated my car and gave me an appraisal value of $14,600. However I wanted a new car and a Rav4 does not cut it for a man. Fortunately my friend needed a new car too, so she told me to go to Lipton with her. Now here is the story...
My friend wanted a new Camrey SE and I wanted a Land Cruiser. My friend came with some Ad from True Car.com. I laughed. However the first thing I did was to politely greet the Salesman and requested to be introduced to the GM, GSM, Finance Director, top Service Manager, and the top Parts Manager. I gave them all my business card and asked them to remember me. I handed the salesman my key for an appraisal and gave him my credit information. I went to the lot and luckily they had one Land Cruiser on the Sales Lot. I looked at the MSRP and noticed they had a $7,000 Addendum added to the MSRP. I smiled.
I sat at the negotiation table and the salesperson brought me what the sales manager had pencil me. He gave me 13,000 for the Rav4 and the addendum price for the Land Cruiser. I then became upset with the salesman, asking him whom had trained him. He was shocked and tried to rise from his chair in order to get the manager. I relaxed and told him to sit back down.
I expressed him that he had to fight for his money, that no one would give up their money freely. I re-pencil the trade at $11,000 and the Land Cruiser I added another $2,000 to the Addendum. He then stood up and went to the manager's desk and showed what I had done.
Suddenly the GM, GSM, and the Sales Manager came to my table in disbelief, asking me if I was pulling their legs. I said: " Gentlemen, I am a man whom believes that he whom is afraid to spend money is because he is actually afraid to make money. I make a lot of money and it is only right to help a fellow man whom is providing me service to make money as well. Thus I do this because I like to pay for awesome service. I expect to be first anytime I step into your store, and to be provided with the best service and customer care ever. Now write the deal up and get me out of here with my new car quick! I will pay cash half and finance the other half. Thank you!"
I left with my new car in 40 minutes and my friend spent 8 hours at Lipton negotiating her camrey deal with her silly True Car.Com. Time is money and time is precious. No wonder why I make 1.7 million a year and my friend only makes $70,000 annually. My time is money. Trust me: during the 8 hours she spent there trying to save money on her new camrey I made more than my Land Cruiser is worth by saving 7 hours in a dealership. And what is most interesting, my friend still had to pay 2,700 over what those lies said in True Car.Com.
So should you go to Lipton? I guess if you just pay what the sticker says you will not have a problem. Thank you.
PS_ I am always first when I go to Lipton for my services. I guess because I tip well.

Here is my review I have posted about this company on other sites, I was amazed how many people this company has made unhappy. Do your research before using Toyota dealer Ft Lauderdale Lipton
Horrible experience at Limpton Toyota Ft Lauderdale
I own a 2008 Toyota Prius and each time I am forced to replace the headlight I am amazed at the cost. I say forced because the manufacturer has designed the car that people can not change there own headlights. believe me I have tried the front bumper has to be taken off to replace the light. This is my third time replacing the headlight the first time over five years ago where they charged me around $365 for the headlight and a class action lawsuit was
Filed against them from someone that was way more diatribes them I, so a small settlement check was mailed out. So the next time the headlight went out I decided not to replace it and after 6 months driving around town I brought it in to Limpton and it cost $265, YES, $265 for one headlight! Then a week later I was driving to the gym at 5 am which is my normal gym hour someone told me that my other light went out, I said no way your mistaken! No they weren't mistaken. So once again I drove without a headlight again then finally I decided I had to get it done. Coincidentally there happened to be moisture in the shell of the light. Bottom line as you can see from the bill it cost me $1,020.45 to replace the light. This amount is really suspicious and the fact my other light went out a week later is also suspicious since these days there no reason to lift up the hood
I find the sales people fake and i question there method of doing. I will Berber bring my car there and If I chose to by the 2016 4th generation Prius I will not buy from them and will I sit from the company I buy it from a warranty on the highlights if they haven't fixed the headlight replacement issue.
If anyone has had similar issues with headlight fees please share
Also they took WAY to long to do the job and the driving service reliability was very pour if your time management is important I suggest you find a ride from a friend. I give it two stars because the driver was a nice man and played good jazz on the radio

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Bill. And thank you so much for taking the time to speak to our Service Manager. The computer behind the housing of the headlight on your Prius was waterlogged and shorted out. The only way we could have known that was by removing the bumper. There was water entry into the headlight and the headlight assembly was replaced. This included the housing, the high intensity light bulb, as well as the waterlogged electrical ballast. We are truly sorry for the terrible experience that you have had to endure with the headlights on your Prius. We sincerely hope that you can give the Lipton Toyota family a second chance.

It appears if the mechanic really looked at the light issue that it would of been discovered that the moisture issue would of come from the ballast part and the the lighting housing unite didn't have to be replaced especially since there weren't any cracks or scratches on the light unite. $1,020.45 is a lot of money for a light, and if your company was really about customer service and quality service that once the ballast was discovered to have been the problem that your company could of make a phone call to say there is good news. Rather then the actual news of the phone call of "we have discover that the ballast also needs to be replaced and that is an additional $240.00". It appears that profit is more important then protecting Toyota's reputation as a good quality car that takes care of it's customer in a fair way

How is the next person to talk with. Your company scammed me in replacing the headlight shell when it probably didn't have to, this must be resolved.
